My new discovery: Cold sterilization

During my baby’s first year of life, I know he’s prone to illnesses and it can be acquired any time, anywhere. So my first concern was his feeding bottle to be safe. I need to sterilize all his feeding stuff so I can reduce the risks of getting any bacteria which will cause diarrhea and any other diseases.

There are different ways on how we can sterilize their feeding bottles. Mine is boiling, the traditional way of sterilizing feeding equipment. All you need is a large pot with cover perfectly for this purpose only. Fill the pan with water and make sure there are no air bubbles inside the teat and into the bottle. I usually have it boiled 10-15 minutes. I do this at home ever since my first child was born, but I think this is not for me. Because I always tend to forget I have something on our stove. So I saved some for me to buy electric type of sterilizer, I bought at SM Department store worth P2,500.00 year 2010, and it’s still working. 

Before Yvan was born, been to the mall buying some stuff so to be prepared. I always get excited shopping for baby’s stuff. 🙂 This is so fun.

Meanwhile, I came across Chicco’s new product. It’s disinfectant liquid. I am curious how this product works, so I bought one for only P299.75.

What I do with this liquid. 

1 liter of water and add 1 small cup (included) and then shake so to incorporate the liquid. Then I will put it on a clean plastic container which can be used for a day, ready to use. 

I am so loving this product because I can be sure I can disinfect my children’s toys, feeding stuff without any harmful ingredients.
